Well as I mentioned we switched to the Bugaboo seat instead of the Bassinet early-Kat is only 4 months but we thought we would try it. And she loves it!! She can now still be partially reclined while seeing the world and that is her favorite thing right now. She is still a little small for the 5 point harness but since she is still reclining I don’t see a problem with that.

Using the bassinet also gives much better access to the underseat storage bag.

I have to say again -I LOVE my bugaboo-that is by far one of the best investments we made for our baby. There are several other items we can not live without and I will let you know about these in the coming days.

So bottom line even though the Bugaboo is expensive it is very much worth it. I would strongly urge any mother/father to be to really take a look at it and do search ebay and craigslist as you can find them up to half off as I did.

We have a Bugaboo Cameleon which I absolutely love! Got a great deal on it on ebay (half off and barely used) as I would not have been allowed to spend $900 on a new one. Kat really loves the bassinet part and can be pretty happy in there for a few hours when we go out as well as nap in there.

But it is VERY big to lug around…we have to take the bassinet off the base and then store both in the car which basically means the trunk is totally gone.

She is only 4 months old but very tall(she was 25 inches at 3 months and has grown quite a bit since then). So we decided to go ahead today and make the switch to the Bugaboo Seat instead. We tried it out today when we went to Lincoln Rd and she seems to really like it as she can also see the world. But she looks so tiny in it and all the straps are quite big. So I am not sure if we will keep with the seat for now or go back to the bassinet. Bugaboo suggests an age of 6 months and 28 inches height to use the seat but it is so much more convenient and with the 2 different reclining positions it offers I think we are ok to stick with it.

Think I will ask the Pediatrician when we go for her 4 month check up on Tuesday and see what she says. I am hoping she gives the thumbs up as it will make life much easier. But I am sure Kat will miss her naps in the bassinet!

I wanted to let you know a little bit more about me and my family. I am originally from Europe and am 34. I have been married to my husband for almost 7 years now -he is also European. We live in South Florida which has its ups and downs like most places.

We had a gorgeous baby girl Katarina in April and she is the sunshine of our lives. She just learned to roll over last weekend and is practicing constantly. She is a little party animal like her dad…she does not like to be home all day-she will get pretty cranky. But take her out, especially to South Beach where there is lots of noise and lots of people she is as happy as a clam:)

We also have our furbabies-Ben our Golden Retriever who is 6, Diesel our longhaired cat and Buddy our Amazon Parrot.
